Canon 5D MK III rumored to be announced in March

Canon 5D MK III rumored to be announced in March
Canon DSLR owners out there, if you're thinking of making an upgrade to one of Canon's top of the line DSLR cameras, the Canon 5D MK II (pictured above), you might want to hold off on that purchase just yet as rumor has it the Canon 5D MK III will be launch some time in March after Japan's CP+ show. Given it has been a while since the 5D MK II has been out, and with their rival Nikon expected to launch the Nikon D800 in the next few weeks, a possible 5D MK II successor does make some sense.

Amongst the rumored specs, the Canon 5D MK III (if it's even going to be called that) is expected to feature a sensor somewhere in the mid-high 20's megapixel range (unlike the 36MP of the Nikon D800), possible GPS tagging, a DIGIC 5 processor, 19 AF points and 5fps continuous shooting.

Eye-controlled autofocus is another feature that has been talked about amongst Canon photographers, but it could very well be wishful thinking on their part. Of course until Canon actually unveils the information themselves, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Based on these rumored specs, would the Canon 5D MK III be worth upgrading to?
